The Friday before last, we had out first market day. Today was our international market day. We got to shop at our class and Mrs.Lynch and Mrs.Westover’s classes. While we were selling, parents were aloud to come to shop. The kids lent their parents some of their mini-society money. I lent mom 25$. She spent almost all of it in like 7 minutes. She had one dollar left. She gave it back to me. I ended up with 122 dollars when I started with 106 dollars not including the money I gave to mom. I sold a lot of frames, but I bought a lot of stuff too.
I bought a rubber band ball, 11 pins, a thing for my backpack, a cool pen, a funny pencil, a mirror, two necklaces, a bracelet and another two necklaces for Evie, a little bit of yarn, a parachute with a ball connected to it, two bookmarks, a wish necklace and three easter eggs with play-dough inside them. Last time I got a frisbee, two pet rocks, a candle that looked like an egg with part of an egg shell on it, a tiny wood air plane that broke, and other stuff that I can’t remember.
I have one other thing to talk about today (It is easier than writing another post) last Saturday Evie and I got rats. Three of them. Evie used all 95$ from her birthday money, I used my last 15$, Tyler used twenty, and mom and dad helped out as well. We have a cage, toys, food and water for them(We also have bedding for them). They are not as bad a you think. Lots of people would go “Why would you get a rat” or “Rats are filthy”, but mom looked it up and rats are really nice pets.
Thanks for reading this double post check tomorrow.

Today at school we had a field trip to an Intermediate school. Which is the school that most fourth graders at my school go to after elementary. But since I a moving I am going to a new school, not the one the other kids are going to. But the trip was cool. Here is what we did.
First there was a slide show presentation. We found out about the schedule, L.Cs. and more. We got to learn about the choices for our Fine Arts. Those are things like orchestra, band, choir, and arts and music. Orchestra is string instruments. But not guitar. Band is flutes, trumpets, trombone… things like that. Choir is basically singing. Arts and music is you switch from arts to music (or visa versa) every nine weeks. There are two art teachers and two music teachers so you get to experience all of their classes.
An L.C is a learning community. In other words, a group of four classes. One for language arts, one for math, one for science, and one for social studies. Every person gets one L.C. You stay in that L.C. for the two years that you go there. (I think).
We got to look around the first floor’s five L.C.s. We also saw the gym which has ping pong and bowling. And there was a game that looked like hockey but was not.
It was cool. But it is too bad I am not going there next year. I hope my school is as good or better than the one we went to today. Well there is only one way to find out…. Go there!

Today was Field Day and it was awesome. I played events, worked at my event, and enjoyed tug-o-war. Here is what happened today.
First we did the Field Day portion of the day. Karissa and I did the ice-skating, the sack race, the hip-pity hop, the tire tug, popsicle, two water events, the duel, and the pillow battle. It was fun. For our popsicle, we both got fudge. We met up with Evie there and a few other times.
Then Mrs. Hodge called out to switch. So we went to the duel and we ran the event. Evie and her partner must have gotten bored because they started hanging around the Duel. Karissa checked off the buddy cards and said who was the winner ( I did that some too). I explained the game and I said when to go. It was a simple game so all I really told them was “If you let go you automatically lose that round. GO!” You only get three rounds though. I got so tired that I wanted to switch jobs with Karissa, but she said no.
Later we did tug-o-war. It was so tiring. We tied losing. Now I am so tired.
Be ready to post your comments. Bye.

Everyone has one brain, but you have two sides of your brain. There are the left brain and the right brain. Your left brain is the side that you do all logic with and the right brain is the artistic side. In Mrs.Gibson’s class, we do math and science and social studies, but we also do things where we color. During the ThanksGiving week or near, we had a piece of paper with a turkey. The turkey was broken into pieces that you had to color individually. Here are things that your left brain does.
Your left brain does everything logic. Math, time, social studies, history, language, reading, writing all that stuff. It is mainly the main part of going to school. To learn all of that stuff. But learning art… I do not know which brain that would be. Here is the right brain stuff.
Your right brain does art. Anything artistic mostly. But your right brain also thinks about things like flowers or maybe beauty. That is the stuff I know about the right brain.
You have one brain but two sides. I hope you learned about that today. Leave your comments.

Today I played a game at school. It was a math game, but it was fun. Since we had class numbers, we just split up between odd and even numbers. I am number nineteen so I was on the odd team. Get it? ODD team. Here is what you do.
First, Mrs.Gibson called up a number from each team. The she told us a definition of a math word. There was a board with words on it. And the people took a fly swatter to whack the right answer. In the game my team won like seven to six. Here is an example of a question. She would say something like an angle bigger then a right angle. So I would swat the obtuse angle card. Then my team would get a point. It was a fun game.
Even though this post was short, I hope I inspired this game to you. Leave your comments.

School is cool and I know a thing in math that I like. It is when you have a grid. You use coordinates to make a picture. Like if your coordinate is 9, 3 you would go over nine and up 3. I it was -3, -4 you would go over 3 on the left side in quadrant 3 and down 4 in quadrant 3. If you have know clue what I am talking about, here is more information.
Ok. There is a grid with four quadrants. And a line going side to side and top to bottom. The one that is going side ways is labeled x. The one going up is labeled y. And the side ways line has two sides and the one on the left side is negative or minus. The one going up has two sides and the one going down is negative. And the line up and the line right are positive. And you always go over then up or down. And the top right one is quadrant one witch is positive, positive. The top left is quadrant 2 and it is negative, positive. The bottom right is quadrant three and is positive, negative. And the bottom left is quadrant 4 and is negative, negative. So if I had a problem that was -7, 8 I would go left to the number -7 in quadrant two and up 8 in quadrant 2.
I think this is fun because you can make pictures. I recently did on which was a cute dog! Please your comments!
I am writing this post in answer to my friend Melanie. She asks what boys would like in Mini Society. Well Melanie before I answer that question, let me explain what Mini Society is to people who don’t know.
Mini Society is a thing we do in school where you make a business to sell our product for Mini Society ( MS ). We get to rent a desk in our class and set up there, but we have to pay for rent and bills like electricity bills. We already started earning money. And we already have named our MS, made a map, sign, and flag. We have a mayor and we all have to think of a product to sell.
Anyway Melanie to answer your question, guys might like boy jewelry like Mrs. Gibson suggested. Or maybe bookmarks with sport pictures on it. Things like that. Melanie if you see this be sure to leave your comment. And everyone one else out there too!
Do you have or have you had a good math and science teacher? Well I do. Her name is Mrs.Gibson. She is a cool math teacher for many reasons. First, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we do something called math 24. You have to use math to equal 24 with the numbers given. It is kind of fun.
Second, on Fridays, Mr. Ed comes to her class. He is the adopted grandfather for our school. He tries to trick us with riddles and things like that. Then we play 20 questions. He has an event, person, place, or thing and we have 20 questions to guess it. But at first you cannot be specific ( unless you are positive of what it is ). Then he reads to us.
Third, also on Fridays we read the Time For Kids magazine. After we read it we start on the work sheet. If you do not Read the rest of this entry »
