The World According to Tori Ann

I am reading a book called Tyler’s Solve-A-Matic Machine.  This book is for readers from the age of nine to twelve. I got this book off of Amazon.com and there was a lot of other choices too. But I picked this one and it is what I am talking about here is what it is about so far.

Tyler is an orphan and he wants to become a sailor and create a machine called the Solve-A-Matic machine so he won’t have to do his homework, his machine would. So he makes a wish and all of the sudden a bike is down on the street. He gets on it and ends up on a skyscraper thing. He meets an entrepreneur spirit that tells him to get to the top of the tower by like 6:38 in the morning. He has to find a key to each elevator. But he gets an email on his laptop on what to do. He has to make blue prints and build his machine. If he does not make it to the top by morning, he does not get to be an entrepreneur.

I have not finished the book so I do not know what happens at the end. So if you would like to read it, you will have to find out the end for your self!

Do like to read? Well I do. And I want all of you out there to know another great series. Gregor The Overlander. My language arts teacher, Mrs.Thibodeaux, just finished reading the series to the class. And I thought it was good. There are five books in the series. It is about a eleven year old boy who has two little sisters. And when one falls down in a vent in a dryer, he has no choice but to follow. He falls a long way down till he finally lands on the ground.

He sees giant cockroaches who called his little sister a princess. The cockroaches bring them to the humans land. Later Gregor finds out that he is the “Warrior” in 5 prophecies. At first he does not want to do it. But when he finds out his dad has been captured by giant rats he has to do it.

In this series Gregor has to go through many prophecies. But you will have to read to see if he survives the last prophecy. So if you think you want it or have already read it be sure to leave your comments.

I love books! Do you? Well I know a great series of books. It is called The Children of The Lamp. It is about two kids who recently found out the are djinn. Djinn are like genies. They can do all of this cool stuff. Like they can make things turn into another thing. They can make things appear or disappear. They can also leave there bodies. Like there spirt lifts out of the physical body. They can take over a  body or an animal. They can also do many other things.

Anyway, these two djinn have to go on dangerous missions to stop the Evil tribes of djinn from taking over the planet. They sometimes get into trouble. Like once they got trapped in a bottle. They thought they were in there a very long time but they were not in there as long as they thought. They are in one of the good tribes of djinn. They are the Marid tribe.

There are five books in this series, and sometimes, when you have finished one of the books, you want throw it down and start the next. I just finished the last book. I think it was a cliff hanger. It left me wanting to read more. Now all I have to do is find a new series.
